AMMAN DESIGN WEEK

Amman is a young city of massive potential, with many untapped stories, talents and ambitions. As such, it holds a unique opportunity to become an oasis for creativity, presenting a critical cross-section of design in the region and highlighting the diversity of Jordan’s rich cultural tapestry.

Amman Design Week is an annual immersive experience in design thinking and creativity. Focused on creating a forum for learning, exchange and collaboration, this platform empowers designers and invites them to engage in the cross-pollination of communities and ideas.

With the support of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Amman Design Week will grow annually to become a hallmark for educational and cultural programming in the city, establishing Jordan as a recognized hub for design, creativity and modern Arab culture.
The 2016 Experience

The nine-day celebration will take place from 1 to 9 September in downtown Amman, with a comprehensive program encompassing exhibitions, events, talks, interactive workshops for both adults and children, as well as guided tours, performances and a food component. Additionally, independent creative venues around the city are participating and presenting ideas emerging from various fields including furniture and product design, architecture, graphic design and innovative digital technologies.
